Hustler's Favorites - Vol 1

Hustler's Favourites comprises of 3 tunes hand picked each week from the olden days, they might not all be obscure or rare but hopefully we pick some that you like, so here goes.

1.Talking Heads - Once In A lifetime

First up an established classic and Larry Levan favorite, Talking Heads - Once In A lifetime. This is one of those tunes that you can just stick on repeat for as long as you need, so hit the play button below, kick back and get your disco hustle on!

2. Kano - I'm Ready

Next, we have Kano - I'm Ready. Kano are one of the better known Italo Disco acts from the late 70's early 80's and as every boy, girl and their goat are greasing up the wheels of the Italo Disco wagon I might as well jump on. Heres my pick from the golden era of electro disco mullets and if you are unsure of the appropriate dance moves these kind people might help you out.

3. Inner Life - Ain't No Mountain High Enough

Lastly for today a HUGE Disco anthem that is guaranteed to get you moving, Inner Life - Ain't No Mountain High Enough. Its all here; synths, guitars, strings, bongos, massive vocals and a build up to destroy all others. Turn it on, Turn it up, and this one will do the rest.

Peaches - I feel Cream

I just picked this one up today and am more than happy to see Peaches lastest offering is jam packed with lots of electro sex-robot smut mongering. It sounds like the electro dirt side of things was helped along nicely by the boys from Simian Mobile Disco who mixed the bulk of the album with the remainder being mixed by Soulwax, Shapemod and Digitalism. Its all very different to Peaches previous albums with its $$$ production sound and very current electro/disco sounds but fear not, this tastes as good. mmmm Peaches

Tracklist:
1. Serpentine
2. Talk To Me
3. Lose You
4. More
5. Billionaire
6. I Feel Cream
7. Trick Or Treat
8. Show Stopper
9. Mommy Complex
10. Mud
11. Relax
12. Take You Out

Chas Jankel - Get Myself Together (Hercules & Love Affair HercBump Mix)

Another of last years catch ups, I still have this one stuck in my playlist and it came up again recently on the 'Future Disco: A Guide to 21st Century Disco' compilation which is def worth a listen too. Any way this little gem by former Ian Dury and the Blockheads Keyboardist Chas Jankel has it all, tonk-a-tonk 80s toms, rolling disco beats and ass bouncing funk bassline. Get it on your pods.

Juan Maclean - Happy House

This one has been about for a while now, it was officially released in Feb but I am going to blog it anyway, firstly because it is banging and secondly because this blog was but a seed in a Disco Hustlers eye back then! The Juan Maclean gives us piano, piano, some bass, a few drums with a sprinkling of more piano and it seriously hits the spot. It was cold, wet and miserable when Happy House first popped up but now the summer is appearing its all making sense, buy this and listen to it all summer! The Juan Maclean album 'The Future Will Come' is also out now which i will post soon. Sample Happy House is faithfully included for your pleasure.

Sebastien Tellier - Kilometer

Beardy Beardy Disco Beardy, Sebastien Tellier is here again with Kilometer! The album version is true to form, smooth synthed, tight jeaned, silk scarfed and discofied but remixes are where the dancer floor tiles start glowing with the standout A-Trak remix.
